Description
Well seasoned, crispy fried pork chops with a crunch you can here from Africa and a taste that’ll have you in heaven in minutes. These pork chops will remind you of why it’s so hard to stay away from pork.
Ingredients
- 2 Lbs Bone-in Centercut Porkchops
- 2 Cups Vegetable oil
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1–1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Cornstarch
- 2 Tbs Yellow Mustard
- 1 Tbs Hotsauce
- 2 Tsps Adobo
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Cayenne
- 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel to absorb any moisture.
Make sure they’re as dry as possible! - Season the pork chops with half of the seasonings and rub each side down with mustard, and set aside.
- Crack the eggs and combine them with hot sauce to create the binding agent, then add some seasonings.
- Combine the flour and cornstarch in a ziploc bag or large mixing bowl, then add the remaining seasonings.
- Dip the seasoned pork chops into the egg wash, then drain off any excess egg wash.
You want a thin coating of egg wash. - Coat the pork chops with the flour/cornstarch mixture, shake off the excess flour mixture, and set aside on a baking rack.
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.
- After 6 to 7 minutes, once the oil is hot or reaches 375°F, add in 3 pork chops and fry on both sides for about 6 minutes until crispy.
- Set on a baking rack over a baking sheet.
