Description
Boiled white rice, topped with sauteed onions, peppers, and Polska kielbasa sausage.
Ingredients
- 16oz Polska Kielbasa
- 1 Qt Water
- Success 10-Minute ‘Boil-in-Bag’ White Rice
- 1/2 Cup Onions, chopped
- 1/2 Cup Green Bell Peppers, chopped
- 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 Tsp Seasoning Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Fill a small pot with cool water, then place it over high heat for 8 minutes.
- While the water is preheating, chop the kielbasa into 1/8th inch circular-shaped pieces and coarsely chop the onions & peppers.
- Once the water comes to a boil, add in the bag of rice, and let it boil for 10 minutes.
- Place a skillet over medium-high heat, add in the oil, and preheat for 3-4 minutes.
- Add in the chopped kielbasa, onions, and peppers.
- Sprinkle in the seasonings and toss well.
- Cook the kielbasa for 7-8 minutes, and stir periodically.
Notes
- I used an electric stove and a T-fal electric skillet to cook this recipe. Cooking time may vary depending on the type of stove and skillet you’re using.
