Polska Kielbasa is the star of this quick and easy dish that’s perfect for those lazy Garfield days when you’re tired after a long day of work. If you’re hungry and looking for something simple to make, this tasty Kielbasa & Rice recipe is for you. My mother, a hard-working single mom, made this dish for my siblings and me all the time when we were young, especially when she didn’t feel like cooking a big dinner.

The best part is, it takes less than 30 minutes to cook! And did I mention how good it is? I just love it… everything from the Polska Kielbasa to the caramelized onions and the hot white rice. It’s the perfect combo, so give it a try and let me know what you think.

Why This Kielbasa & Rice Recipe is Perfect for Busy Days

This recipe is perfect because not only does it take less than 30 minutes but it’s pretty tasty and different. I mean, it’s not something you see people making everyday. And guess what? You only need a handful of ingredients to cook this dish! All you need is Polska Kielbasa, onions, peppers, and your favorite rice… I like to use ‘Success 10 minute boil-in-bag‘ white rice.

Some of you maybe wondering what made me think of a recipe like this. I got it from my momma!!! Lol! I remember her making this dish for my sister and I back in the 90s. That was when I fell in love with Polska Kielbasa… I’m not quite sure what made my mom think of this dish but when I would walk into the kitchen and see she was making it for dinner, i’d always get excited – that’s how much I loved it! Everyone knows I love white rice… kielbasa is like my second favorite sausage, and sauteed onions n peppers are just good. So it’s no surprise why I would love this dish!

I want yall to try this recipe and let me know how it is… You can put you own little spin on it of course. I did a YouTube video for this recipe years ago and remember my subscribers telling me how they replaced the peppers with hot people and some said they replaced the rice with potatoes.

So feel free to customize this recipe to your liking. It’s a very versatile dish but i’d like for yall to follow the recipe to a T first and then decide if you want to make changes to it afterward. Leave a comment below letting the readers know how you like it and please give this a rating. It helps a lot, thank you!

Enjoy, later!

  1. This is the first recipe that I’ve made in a year that when it says 30 minutes MEANS 30 minutes (or less). I usually spend 3 hours in the kitchen. This was quick, super tasty, and easy cleanup. I will definitely be making this again.

  2. great for less fat grams since I have to watch that for hubby now and since I used the turkey kielbasa … Love it thank you again for some exact measurements so I would have equal balance of onions and peppers since i grew my own. again GREAT CHANNEL THANKS.

  3. What happened to the pan-fried potatoes and onions recipe that was here yesterday and then disappeared when I went back to print it out? You said in your video that it was a Saturday breakfast recipe and looked very good as I would like to make it. I sent you an email yesterday asking about it. I hope it is still here someplace. Please help. Thank you.
