I have a simple baked bbq ribs recipe yall are gonna love. This recipe is so easy your 10 yr old can make it…. It took me some time to perfect this recipe, like a lot of time.
I wanted to create a rib recipe I’d not just enjoy but LOOOOVE and be excited to make. These ribs are seasoned to perfection and baked in a sweet honey bbq sauce.
BBQ PORK RIBS SO GOOD, THEY’LL MAKE YOU WANNA SLAP YO MAMMA!
These ribs are well seasoned! I love the combination of seasonings I used to create what’s called a rib rub. I added a little cayenne for heat, honey for sweetness (you can substitute it with brown sugar if you don’t have any).
I sprinkled it with some Worcestershire sauce (which I hate pronouncing lol), hickory liquid smoke to give it a hint of a smoked grilled flavor, and some vinegar to add a little tart. This combination of flavor makes for some banging a** ribs
Cooking time
When it comes to cooking time, I’ll let you decide how long to cook them. Generally I bake my ribs for 2 hrs. I baked them covered under aluminum foil for 90 mins and uncovered for 30.
Now if you like your ribs with a bite, bake them covered for 60 minutes. Some folk don’t like their rib meat super tender and falling off the ball.
They want BITE into the rib meat and for the meat to still attach to the bone lol. If you bake the ribs under foil for too long, the meat will fall right off.
How long you bake them under foil also depends on how thick the ribs are. If my ribs don’t have a whole like of meat on them, I’d just bake them covered for 1 hr, but if they’re meaty, I’ll let them bake for 90 minutes before uncovering them

Honey vs Brown Sugar: You can use either or both. Both add sweetness to the ribs.. but what I like about honey is the shiny look and smooth texture it adds to the bbq. I think I like the taste slightly more than that of brown sugar. But both options are good.
Broiler: Do I put my ribs in the broiler? Yes I do… after 60 minutes of cooking under the foil, I cook them uncovered for 15 minutes, then I move them to the broiler and keep them in there for an additional 15 minutes.
This helps the BBQ sauce thicken and adhere to the ribs. Otherwise the BBQ sauce will be soupy and runny and I DO NOT LIKE THAT LOOK lol!

These recipe can be used to make grilled ribs as well just make sure to season them ahead of time. I would add all the ingredients to the ribs the night before and let them marinate under aluminum foil then add them to the grill.
But if you’re just looking for some delicious easy to make ribs for say Sunday night dinner, this is the recipe for you so I hope you all enjoy them. Give the recipe a shot and please leave a comment and rate below it helps a lot.
Enjoy, later

Notes
If your ribs are very meaty, you may have to bake them covered for longer than an hour to get them tender. So if after an hour, you find that they’re still not tender enough for you, continue baking them covered for another 30 minutes
